It is very evident that while OEMs have shown marked improvements in spheres like technology, quality, financial strength, new innovative products, marketing etc but one very crucial aspect of doing business Dealer Relations has been relegated to low priority.
Even some OEMs who had strong bonds with most of their channel partners in the past have literally forgotten the contributions made by hard & sincere work done by their Dealer Principals. Lack of rapport at times is attributed to expanding dealer network over the years.
Even the significant contributions by some corporates who entered auto retailing in a big way have been forgotten. Some OEMs literally piggy backed on the reputation, contacts & local influence of these organizations to gain foothold & garner a larger share of the market.
