India can be fertile ground for Bitcoin says Aaron Koenig, organiser of Bitcoin Exchange Berlin


Bitcoin is a new, innovative technology that can be used for global payments. A few central banks, including Reserve Bank of India, may have warned against use of Bitcoin, but India can well be the fertile ground on which it can flourish, thanks to its tech-savvy citizens and the millions of poor that are excluded from the financial system, says Aaron Koenig, organiser of Bitcoin Exchange Berlin, and a member of Global Bitcoin Alliance. The poor have mobile phones and that’s all it takes to be part of the system, Koenig tells ET’s Atmadip Ray.
