With security being one of the major concerns voiced by companies involved in software and development, the world of BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) is a major challenge in addressing who gets access and to what. In the crowded Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) space, US-based CA Technologies is betting big on the sector to address concerns on security, pressure on institutions to come up with new apps and portfolio management.
“We have 2500 people employed in India operations across our offices in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Baroda who also contribute to EMM solutions. The leaders in the market according to our recent global study on How to Survive and Thrive in the Application Economy are those who are concentrating on DevOps, APIs and integrating a BYOD policy for their organization,” says Sunil Manglore, managing director (India) of CA Technologies.
While banks and financial institutions are among the first movers to adopting mobility and DevOps which integrates software developers and IT operations personnel to fine-tune an offering, other sectors tuning in to the use of mobility solutions for the enterprise are retail, manufacturing sector and healthcare – in that order, added the managing director.
