Tata Consultancy Services’ business process outsourcing unit head Abid Ali Neemuchwala has quit the company.
Confirming the development in a statement to ET, a TCS spokesperson said, “Neemuchwala has decided to pursue his career interest outside TCS. We wish him well for the future.”
TCS did not specify who is expected to replace him. With degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and the National Institute of Technology in Raipur, Neemuchwala, 47, has spent about 23 years at India’s largest software company and was appointed to the head of the BPO unit in 2009.
He is still serving the notice period. US-based Neemuchwala had not responded to an email requesting his comment as of press time on Monday.
